With 'Live Mode' as a Merchant you can set a specific amount for your customers to from across the counter or across the country. Customers simply click a Pay-Link or Scan a QR code and the amount you specify magically appears!
Quick Tip: You can use 'Live Mode' on any device including your Smartphone turning it into a Point of Sale (PoS) device.
Firstly you need to ensure your Payment Point is configured for 'Live Mode' to do this follow these steps:
Step 1 : Login to the Payminty Portal here https://admin.payminty.co.nz/ and click on 'Create Payment Point' and give your Payment Point a name e.g. the name of your business.
Step 2 : Select the Payment Point you have just created and click 'Edit' in the Amount Settings section and from the drop down select the Purpose of this Payment Point from 'Payments' or 'Donations'
Step 3 : Next in the Amount Selection section select 'Live Mode' from the drop down (you can apply an Initial Amount and Surcharges if you wish), click 'Save'
Your Payment Point is now configured to make 'Live Mode' payments. Follow the steps further below to set and amount to pay and share a Pay-Link.
Step 4 : Click 'Live Mode' as per below on your Payment Point.
Step 5 : Simply enter the amount to pay in the 'Set Amount' section and click 'Save'
Step 6 : Now you can show your customer the QR code for this particular Payment Point or you can share a Pay-Link using the 'Share Link' function.
Done! - When the customer scans the QR code or clicks the Pay-Link the amount you set automatically appears for the customer to pay!
