How do I get Payminty?


Just email us on info@payminty.com to register your interest and we can get the ball rolling.




What is a Payminty payment point?


In same way your corner dairy has an EFTPOS terminal, a Payminty Point uses a Payminty QR Code or NFC tag in the much the same way, albeit without any wires or power requirements making it virtual.




What does Pyaminty cost?


Payminty charges a small fee on each successful payment, any other payment related costs are negotiated by yourself, your payment gateway (Paymark) and your bank.




What is the difference between Online EFTPOS and Card payments?


Online EFTPOS is a new way to pay using your own money without using the Visa or Mastercard network, This helps to keep costs down as payment gateway fees are lower than for Visa and Mastercard payments.




Where can I use Payminty?


You can use Payminty anywhere you see one of our QR codes or NFC pay points.




Is Payminty secure?


Yes very, we use the latest technologies available to ensure any sensitive data is secure and encrypted plus we utilise incumbant payment processors like Paymark who have been processing payments in New Zealand for over 30 years.




Where can I place a Payminty QR Code?


Almost any physical object that can have the QR code attached or superimposed on it, for example; tables, brochures, posters, t-shirts, bandana's, beach balls and so on.




Where can I place a Payminty NFC tag?


Almost any physical object that can have a 50 cent coin sized sticker stuck to it, for example; cards, shop windows, donation buckets and so on.

What banks are on the Online EFTPOS network?


At the moment customers who bank with ASB, Co-Op, Westpac and Heartland can pay using Online EFTPOS. Paymark are expecting more banks to come on shortly.




How do I make a payment with Payminty?


Simply scan any Payminty QR code or hold your phone over any Payminty NFC tag and follow the steps.




Are there any restrictions on what device I can use?


You can use any device that is able to scan a QR Code or has NFC capabilities, if you are unsure if your device is compatible then simply find out your device make and model then ask Google.




Is Payminty free to use?


Typically most merchants take care of any assocaited costs with making a payment, however some may choose to have a surcharge which will be fully explained upfront.




Do I need to download an app from the Play store or App store?


No you don't, you just need a compatible device that is connected to the internet.




Why do I need to confirm the Online EFTPOS payment in my banking app?


This is for your security so no one else is able to make payments from your account.

Do I need a Merchant Facility?


We strongly advise having a Merchant Facility that can accept card payments using Paymarks Click product, this way you will be able to accept payments from any bank in New Zealand. But you can completely just use any bank account linked to Online EFTPOS only and avoid needing a merchant account, but you will only be able to accept payments from customers who bank with ASB, Westpac, Co-Op and Heartland.




Can I use my existing Merchant facility?


Yes, you can. You will also need to register with Paymark for their Online EFTPOS and Click products. This costs nothing and both products can link in to any existing merchant facility.




What is the difference between Online EFTPOS and Card payments?


Online EFTPOS is a new way to pay using your own money without using the Visa or Mastercard network, this helps to keep costs much lower. Card payments use the likes of Visa or Mastercards payment network and therefore have higher associated Merchant fees.




Do I need a Merchant facility with a bank?


No, you can use Online EFTPOS exclusively to accept Payminty payments directly into a nominted NZ bank account.




Can I use Online EFTPOS only?


Yes you can however we do recommend a Merchant facility so you can accepts cards also because only ASB, Westpac, Co-Op and Heartland bank customer can use Online EFTPOS.




What banks does Online EFTPOS work with?


At the time of writing ASB, Westpac, Co-Op and Heartland bank customer can use Online EFTPOS with more banks coming onto the platform soon.




How do I get set-up with Paymark?


You are welcome to contact Paymark yourself or contact us and we can pont you in the right direction?




What are the fees for Online EFTPOS and/or Click?


These fees are set by Paymark and we can introduce you to the right people to talk to so you may be able to get preferred rates, please email us on info@payminty.com to register your interest.




Why do I need an account with Paymark also?


Payminty does not actually handle any of the actual movement of funds, rather we facilitate the transaction and then leave the rest up to the experts which happen to be Paymark who have relationships with all the New Zealand banks.




How am I notified of approved or declined transactions?


As a Payminty customer you will have access to an Administrator portal where you will get real-time notificaitons on all your transactions.




Is there a limit to how many transactions a Payminty point can process?


No, as long as the code is readable and the tag is in tact then there is no limit?.

How do I manage my Payminty Points?


As a Payminty customer you will have access to an Administrator portal where you can manage all your Payminty points and Account Details etc.




How many Donation Points can I create?


You can create as many Donation Points as you like for no additional cost.





Yes you can create a friendly name for each Donation Points as well as specific meta data that can help with tracking and reporting.




What kind of reporting can I get?


Payminty provides out of the box reporting for any Customer as well as more detailed business intelligence for Customers signed up to a PLUS account.




Is Payminty PCI DSS compliant?


Yes by default, because we use Paymark as our Merchant provider who are fully PCI DSS compliant.
